Gene Austin Robinson left us to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. He was born April 29, 1929 in Lavinia, TN. He served in the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller in TX, and after an honorable discharge continued his career in Montgomery, AL. He moved his family to Memphis, TN where after a medical retirement from the civil service, he earned his degree from Memphis University and had dual careers in Financial Planning and Real Estate. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Dorothy, two daughters Vickie and Maschele, two grandchildren Holly and Jason and a great grandson Dax. Gene was a remarkable man. He loved crossword puzzles, and even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's 10 years ago could still beat anyone at Rummi Cube. His sweet presence will be greatly missed.
