Mrs. Diane S. Nelson

After high school she went to work as an operator for New England Telephone Company. Diane worked for many years as an Operator, Engineering Clerk and Secretary. After retiring she was a Financial Administrator for the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was very active in Pioneering and a past Chapter President organizing and coordinating many conferences and conventions. Diane gave unselfishly of herself as secretary and a member of the Pigeon Cove Boat Owners Association during the fight for Pigeon Cove Harbor.

Diane was a loving wife of Carl "Fred" Nelson. Devoted daughter of Nelson "Dave" & Darlene Whitredege and sister of Dave Whitredge and Debra Trepasso. Brother Dave Whitredge and his wife Bonnie of Saugus, Mass., sister Debra and husband Kenneth of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Diane leaves her nieces Shannon Shaw and Jason Whitredge, niece Tiffany and nephew Kenneth and Christopher Trepasso of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Step-sons Mark Nelson and wife Cynthia of Reading, Mass and Christopher Nelson and his wife Judith of Rockport, Mass., Grandchildren Ryan, Nicole and Michael Nelson of Reading, Mass., and Courtney and Kyle Nelson of Rockport, Mass., sister in law Joan Douglass of Ft. Pierce, Florida, brother, brother and sister in law John and Joan Nelson of Mancos, Colorado. Very close friends Pat Frankum of Vincennes, Indiana, Linda Morris of Rockport, Mass., Lyn LaFlamme of Punta Gorda, FL, and Theresa "Terri" Sims of Punta Gorda, FL.

Diane was predeceased by her beloved Father, Nelson "Dave" Whitredege.

Diane will be greatly missed by everyone she knew and touched.
