Norma C. Scott, 90, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on April 10, 2016. She was born July 14, 1925 in Hancock, MI daughter of the late Grace and Norman Crane. She united in marriage to Benjamin Franklin Scott in 1945 and was married some 63 years until his passing in 2008. Norma and Benjamin moved to Punta Gorda in 1986 from Wilson, NC.
Norma was the keeper of the home, raising three wonderful children in doing so. She enjoyed playing tennis, playing bridge and kept a close watch on Wall Street. She started the Osprey Investment Club of Punta Gorda and was a member of both the Emerald Pointe Tennis and Bridge Clubs.
Norma is survived by two daughters and one son; Gail Elizabeth Schmuckle and husband Larry of Mechanicsville, MD, Wesley James Scott of Wichita, KS and Susan Kay Belcher and husband Bob of Princeton, WV. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 16, 2106 at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home-Port Charlotte Chapel.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association in Norma’s memory.
