Olive Thompson, 85 of Englewood, Florida died August 9, 2009. She was born August 25, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert and Frances Hummel Schwartz.

She moved to the Englewood area in 1982 from Brunswick, Ohio.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Suncoast Worship Center of Englewood.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail Newton of Lompoc, California, Cindy D'Santo of Tampa, Florida, Kim Nekic of Madison, Ohio and Dawn Thompson of Port Charlotte, Florida; her sons, Michael Thompson of Englewood, Florida, Randy Thompson of Punta Gorda, Florida and Dougie Thompson of Monticello, Indiana; 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas A. Thompson and her son Fred Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. all at the Suncoast Worship Center in Englewood with burial to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park.
