

Oliver Lee Jones passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 66.
Oliver was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Above everything else in his life, family was the most important thing to him. The love he had for his family was immeasurable, and the memories they created together will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
Oliver shared his life with his loving wife of 47 years, Annette Jones. He was a proud father to his son, John Jones, and a loving father-in-law to Melissa Jones. He especially cherished being a grandfather to his granddaughters, McKenzie Jones and Alexandra Gutierrez, who held a very special place in his heart.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Anne Collins; his brothers, Anthony Jones, Allen Jones, and Ernie Jones; his sister, Lois Jones Ruth; brothers-in-law, Charlie Collins and Jody Collins; and sisters-in-law, Mollie Skalski, Crystal Collins, Robin Collins, Elizabeth Jones, Debbie Jones, and Cheryl Jones.
Oliver was a beloved uncle to his nephews, Anthony Jones Jr, Toby Jones, Matthew Collins, Nathaniel Ruth, Colton Ruth, Michael Jones and Rick Sanders and his nieces, Natasha Dabney, Michelle Pierce, Heather Dragon, Tanya Crotty, Stephanie Garcia, Crystal Karim, Ashley Newton, Taylor Ruth and Amber Gassman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Nannie Jones.
Oliver spent 25 years working in construction, where he built a career through years of hard work and dedication.
When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, Oliver enjoyed some of life’s simple pleasures. He loved bowling and fishing, and he had a special love for Tennessee and the mountains. He appreciated the beauty of eagles soaring through the sky and a beautiful sunset, and he was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
Those who loved Oliver will remember him not simply for the things he enjoyed or the work he did, but for the place his family held in his heart. His greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply and the memories he leaves be
Although his absence will be deeply felt, Oliver’s family will carry his love with them through every mountain view, every sunset, every eagle overhead, and every memory shared together.
