Paul C. Brooks, Sr. 83, passed away on August 7, 2016 in Port Charlotte. Paul was born in Arcadia, FL son of the late Wiley Lee and Zonnie Brooks. Paul worked in the construction business building homes and commercial buildings most of his working life. Paul was a veteran having served his country honorably in the US Navy.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Emily (Lucille) Brooks of Port Charlotte; one son, Tony (Mutt) Brooks and fiancee Sheryl Hipp of North Port and daughter-in-law, Melisa Brooks of Punta Gorda. Three sisters also survive; Barbara Farmer of Sycamore, GA, Minnie Ingalls and husband Stan of San Diego, CA and Fannie Mackie and husband Art of San Carlos, Mexico. Thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Paul was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter, Cleve, Steve, Jeff and Paula.
