Peter Caponera, 74, passed away on February 4th, 2025 in Port Charlotte, Florida, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 6, 1950, in Danbury, Connecticut to Vincent and Virginia Caponera, and was one of six children. He grew up in Ridgefield, Connecticut and became a passionate and skilled gardener in his young adulthood, later growing his business as a landscape designer in Florida. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lenida, who he married in 1990, and a loving father to his daughters, Lenida and Virginia. Peter found joy in drawing and painting, collecting antiques, working in his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered by his loved ones for his humor, warm heart and gentle sweetness.
A funeral mass will be held on March 3rd, 2025 at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port, FL (address: 14380 Tamiami Trl, North Port, FL 34287). The service will begin at 10:00 AM, and be followed by a reception.
