Randall Ray Ficken passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Tidewell Hospice House in Englewood, Florida with his bride of almost forty-two years by his side. Randy was born on May 13, 1950, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Ervin and Ivy Ficken. After High School, Randy proudly served in the United States Navy for six years. He was stationed on two destroyers during the Viet Nam war era. Following his military service, he worked for various companies as an electronic controls technician. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, animals and fixing anything that even threatened to break.
Randy will be greatly missed by his wife, Theresa (Schmidt) Ficken, a brother, David
Rose (Judie), Sisters-in-Law Carol (Laddie) Sula, Mary Beth (Anthony) Akemann,
Angela (Steven) Miller, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved "Kitten".
He was preceded in death by his parents.
