Randall (Randy) Craig Hopkins 56, passed July 9th, 2011 in Venice. Born Oct. 7th, 1954 in Ida, La. he moved to Venice in 1969. He graduated from Venice High and received medical and fire fighting training from SCTI in Sarasota. He was a Fire Fighter/EMT with North Port Fire Dept. and retired after 24 years. Randy loved his family. He is survived by his mother Mary Hopkins, 2 sisters Debbye McCracken, Sherry Bear O'day and brother Robert Hopkins II all of Venice along with many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Hopkins I. Services will be Thursday July 14th 2011 at Kays, Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home at 1935 South Tamiami Trail, Venice. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood, FL. 34223.
