It has been 2 years today we lost our beloved Irene.  There are just no words to express how much she is missed. Irene always spoke of her being asleep when my dad hit that old wooden porch in Arkansas 75 years ago telling them it was time to take  mom to the hospital to have me. As I was growing up, she always taught Sunday school for the grade I was  in. She would have me over to spend the night when she was young and working, I loved the special time with her! She taught me so many crafts, but I guess my only regret was not having her teach me calligraphy. Until her last letter, she wrote beautifully. 
Thank God she was a part of my family, we loved her so much!  What a wonderful Christian she was!

Irene (cuz) was a very special person to my family and I. She was like a big sister to me all my life. My whole family loved her dearly and miss her presence. She was an angel of a lady and will always fill a special place in our hearts. Irene spent her life being a faithful Christian woman, an example to those around her. We will miss her so much.

Irene was one of my very first playmates when we were too young to go to school. I am sorry to hear of her death.
