Richard P. Milloy Jr.

Richard P. Milloy Jr. (Rick), 69, most recently of Port Charlotte Florida passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022 after many months of failing health. Rick was born on November 15, 1952 in Washington D.C. and lived in Maryland as a child and young adult. He joined the Army at age 24 and served 17+ years before leaving the military for medical reasons. During his military career he served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 10th Special Forces. After military retirement, Rick earned a degree in Environmental Science and worked for the Corps of Engineers in Marathon Key, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Milloy, Sr., his sister Teresa Milloy and his second wife Kerry Sanders McDowell-Milloy.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Milloy of Holiday Florida, children with first wife Jenny including Penny Newson-Joyce of Pflugerville Texas, Richard Milloy (Jessica) of Springfield Virginia, Daniel Milloy (Shanna) of Las Vegas Nevada; children with second wife Kerry including Kelly Milloy of Summerville South Carolina, Max Stringer of Summerville South Carolina, Jay Stringer of Punta Gorda Florida; siblings Bill Milloy (Cynthia) of Silver Springs Maryland, Pat Graham (Danny) of Mineral Virginia, Kevin Milloy (Cheryl) of Partlow Virginia, Sean Milloy (Julie) of Nashville Indiana, Maureen Reynolds (Kenny) of Herndon Virginia, Eileen Milloy (Robbie) of Moyock North Carolina, Katie McCord (Robb) of Severna Park Maryland, and Kim Berkey (Dennis) of Bear Delaware.; Rick is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rick will be placed to rest with the love of his life, Kerry, at the Florence National Cemetery in Florence South Carolina
