He was formerly of Park Ridge, IL and moved to Port Charlotte in 1997 coming from Arlington Heights, IL and was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Park Ridge, IL. Mr. Mills was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his son, Richard James Laura Mills; his brother, Robert M. Bonnie Mills and nieces and nephews; his cousin-in-law, Cinda Bill Bousman. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. nee White Mills.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2008 at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church Park Ridge, IL.
