Robert H. Brown, 56, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away August 25, 2012 at the Charlotte Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born October 11, 1955 in Delhi, NY to Francis and Mildred Brown. Robert and his family made their home in Punta Gorda in 1981. Robert was a longtime employee of the City of Punta Gorda, was a member of the S.A.L. Post 103 in Punta Gorda and had served for many years as a Cub master of Pack 103. Robert made many friends in the area and will dearly missed.
He leaves behind his wife, Bonnie Brown of Punta Gorda, FL; son, Robert Eric, daughter-law Michelle and granddaughter, Caitlyn Elizabeth all of Snellville, GA; sisters, Terri Terry of Port Charlotte, FL and Andrea Blodgett of Columbia, SC; brothers, Carl Brown of Hamden, NY and Douglas Brown of Truth or Consequence, NM; sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nephews, nieces and their children.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am till 11:00 am, Saturday, Sept 1, 2012 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL. The Memorial Service will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
