Robert Vincent Cogswell, 85, passed away May 20, 2016 at Douglas T. Jacobson State Nursing Home, Port Charlotte, Florida after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. He is survived by his wife Karleen, children, Lillian Alexander and Vincent Cogswell, and grandsons, Kenneth, Robert, and Tyler and many nieces and nephews. Bob had a long and successful career in the United States Army attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and then went on to work for NOAA as an accountant before retiring to Florida. His interests included swimming, bowling and exercise. Bob was a wonderful, intelligent and gentle man who is finally at peace.
Services and burial with Military Honors will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2:30 PM at Cheltenham National Cemetery in Cheltenham Maryland.
