Robert was born September 9, 1966 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He worked for many years as a warehouse laborer.
Robert had a love for sports, especially football. He played in college at Rutgers University, and was a fan of college football with his favorite team being Notre Dame. He loved helping others, and playing cribbage.
He is survived by his longtime companion of 18 years Donna Gosley, two brothers Glen Johnson, and Lewie Johnson, and many grandchildren. He took pride in raising his granddaughter Selena Fisher 6 years old, she was his pride and joy. He enjoyed fishing, and cookouts with his best friend Lewis Glover.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce M Ziesemer, and his father Elmer W Johnson.
A celebration of life was held in memory of Robert, or Bobby as most called him was held on Labor Day, September 7, 2015 in Rotonda West, Where friends and family dear to his heart gathered to remember him, and celebrate the life he shared.
