Robert W. Johnston

Born 1/16/1937 in Champain,IL. He served in Army during the Korean Conflict and Worked as a switchman for Inland Steel of Northwest Indiana for 40 years. Owner operator of B & M Johnston Concrete for 10 years.

He was a devoted husband to his first wife Jean for 30 years until her death in 1989.

Member of First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN. for 30 years, ran a bus route for 5 of those years. Married Emily in 1991, then moved to Rotonda West FL. in 1999, and they were married almost 25 years. He was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church over 16 years where he held offices in the church.

He was survived by his wife Emily Johnston, Sons: Mike (Lorri) Johnston, Dan(Carolyn) Skimehorn. Mike(Kelley) Daniels, Russ Daniels. Grand children: Steven, Joshua, & Nicholas Johnston. Bobby & Jimmie Bauknecht, Robin Pearson, Ben Daniels, Tanner & Elisha Pellam, Allison Skimehorn and 14 Great Grandchildren.

The Funeral will be held at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow on Friday June 24th.

Burial will be at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
