Robert Joseph (Bobby) La Pointe, 44, known as B.J. to his family of Englewood, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Englewood Community Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 16, 1966. He moved to Englewood in 1999 to work as a stone tender with his step father.
He was active in A.A. for the last 10 years and co-founded the Bay Harbor Ford Monday meetings. He loved working outdoors, being by the Gulf of Mexico and fishing.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Bob) Wasnich; sisters, Teri (Ray) Krabill of Englewood and Lisa (Dennis) Ratz of Elmore, Ohio; brothers, Mike (Kelly) La Pointe and Earl La Pointe all of Toledo, Ohio and Tim La Pointe of Englewood; ten nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Englewood on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
