Lt. Colonel Robert Myles Latham, US Army Retired

Born in Concord, NH on August 28, 1927 – deceased April 21, 2009 in Englewood, FL.

Robert graduated from Concord, NH schools and at 17 years of age joined the U.S. Army.

He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired from the military after 30 years of service. He worked in the civilian sector as a hospital administrator in upstate New York for many years.

He retired to Englewood, FL in 1989, where he married Isabelle King, a native of this area.

Robert was very active in the local chapter of the Military Officers Association of America.

2 brothers, 1 sister, 3 sons and 2 daughters, as well as many grandchildren and extended family survive Robert.

He will be missed by all his family and friends.

A viewing will be held at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel on Sunday April 26th, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 9:30 a.m., followed by Military Honors and burial at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota at 11:00 a.m.
