Robert passed away peacefully from this life the night of Sept. 6, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Broadview, Illinois. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Army and years later he eventually moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where he lived the remainder of his life.
Robert is survived by four children: Richie, Dawn, & Bobby Lauer, Kristy Rivera; 6 grandchildren: Emma & Kayla Dobrovolny, Angelina, Isaiah, Zackariah, & Sergio Rivera. Robert is also survived by his parents: Gordon & Lorraine Lauer, sister Linda Balmes (Rob), and brother Larry Lauer (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
