Robert E. Sykes, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL died in his home Sunday, August 4, 2013 surrounded by family and friends. A devoted father to Kimberly Monyak (Wayne), Natalie Koda (Erik) of Va and Justin Sykes (Sharon); wonderful grandfather to Ryan McGillivray, Alexis and Conner Monyak, Alaina and Daniel Koda, Alyssa, Benjamin and Carter Sykes; dearest long time companion of Christine Panora; beloved brother of Dennis Sykes (Deborah). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ann Sykes and his late wife, Jane (nee Kobak). In lieu of a funeral service, a memorial and celebration of Robert's life will take place in Ohio at a date to be announced.
