Roger Lee Martin

He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve from 1968-1992, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He went to work for the Nebraska State Patrol, Troop A (#390) in 1973, and retired in 1998 after a 25 year career. In 1966, Roger married Kathy Sue Schidler. They were married for 55 years, raising two children and living in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, and Punta Gorda and Lake Suzy, Florida. Roger was a loving, dedicated family man. He was known to all as a generous and fun-loving person.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Martin, children Rob Martin and Tim Martin, daughter-in- law Michelle Mancini, 2 grandsons he loved dearly Jase Martin and Grant Martin, and his brother Robert C. Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred Martin and Robert K. Martin. Services will be January 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
