Rose Mary Bass

Mrs. Rosemary Bass, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on July 21, 2008. She was born July 10, 1936 in Bartow, FL. Mrs. Bass married her husband and best friend Barney C. Bass on March 25, 1955.

Mrs. Bass was a devoted wife and mother. She worked many years as a secretary, but more important and fulfilling to her was her role as mother to her five children. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate woman who was loved by all that knew her. She touched the lives of everyone she met and always put the needs of others before her own.

Mrs. Bass was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Venus, FL where she rarely missed a Sunday. She taught Sunday school classes and sang in the choir.

Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband, Barney C. Bass; 5 children, Thomas Bass of Labelle, FL, Scott Bass of Punta Gorda, FL, Todd Bass of Frostproof, FL, Shelly Worley of Punta Gorda, FL and Lee Ann Bullard of Frostproof, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Kaelee Worley, Alan Bass and Ashley Bullard.

A gathering in the celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 16 Church Drive, Venus, FL 33960.
