Samuel A. Del Gaudio " Sammy Moe " of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of East Boston, Massachusetts. A memorial celebration of his life, for close friends and family will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in East Boston, Massachusetts, until he moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1983. Sammy died surrounded by his family, his
loving wife, Thelma, his daughter, and son-in-law, Denise and David Chiaradonna; his son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Maria Del Gaudio; his grandchildren, David
Chiaradonna Jr, and Meshella and Dominic Del Gaudio and his wonderful sister, Dolores Di Nush. He was predeceased by Sister Lucy, and survived by Sisters, NeHa, Muffy and Gloria all of Massachusetts also many nieces, nephews and friends.
He worked at the Charlstown, Navy Yard, for 30 years until he retired. He was a D-Day survivor of the 296 Infantry, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Elks 2153.
