
Sarah J. (Sally) Morgan, born September 12th 1936, in Morristown N.J, passed on November 1st, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward T. Milkey and Carolyn R. Milkey, long time residents of Punta Gorda Isles and survived by her sister, Carol Dayton , also of Punta Gorda.
Sally spent the summers of her youth on her Grandparents farm in Kentucky where she fostered her love of American Saddlebred Horses and all animals in general. She attended the University of Kentucky majoring in music and voice. Sarah loved learning and was an avid reader. She enjoyed walking in the Mall with her friends or bicycling around her neighborhood. Friendship was one of the greatest gifts Sarah could give, as evident with her best friend of 73 years, Sallee Fitch. Fiercely loyal, she was a steadfast rock in times of crisis. Her passion in recent years was her two Rottweillers, Akira and Bruno. Sarah was a powerful advocate for animal rights and belonged to many rescue organizations.
Sarah had five children, Ted ( Beth), Carie (Joe),Doris, Bob (Kim) and Christina (Harold). She had 10 grandchildren, Taryn, Kelly, Joe,James,Justin, Craig,Trea, Kaitlin, Abigail and Zachary and six great-grandchildren, Ryland, Railey, Jacob, Carley,Annabelle Rose and Juliette Eve.
Sarah will be remembered as a woman and mother who always viewed the world as a glass half full. Her favorite quote was "besides from that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?". She had a way of making you feel special and will truly be missed.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 2pm at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home on Harbor Blvd. Family and friends are warmly invited to come and celebrate her zest for life.
