Shelly Alane Stout, 50, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2013 in Englewood, FL after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 4, 1962 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Sheldon "Tex" Stout, and Donna Stout of Cedar Mountain, NC and Port Charlotte, FL. Shelly was a wonderful mother and leaves behind her beloved sons Alex Raguth and Kurt Raguth of Sarasota, FL, her sisters Dawn Sandum of Murrieta, CA, DeAnn Carroll of Charleston, SC, Audra Dunn of Tampa, and paternal half-sister Dakota Stout of West Plains, MO, and her soulmate Pete Tannura. Shelly grew up in Sarasota and Arcadia, and was a long time resident of Venice and Englewood where she was the well-known owner of Village Gifts & Gallery and Roasters Coffee Bar on Dearborn Street in Englewood. Shelly championed the beautification and preservation of the environment and historic Englewood and served as Board Member of Old Englewood Village Association. Shelly had a deep love of the outdoors and consideration of humanity that were evident in her giving and positive spirit. All who knew Shelly were touched by her bright smile and loving nature.
