Stephen M. Kubicki

He was born on September 16, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois and came to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1992 from Savanna, Georgia. Mr. Kubicki was the owner of, K & W Claims for 19 years located in LaVerne, California before moving to Savanna, Georgia and then to Port Charlotte, Florida. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post #110 and Charter Member of the Elks all of Port Charlotte, Florida. He was an avid golfer, world traveler, artist, attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, a veteran of WW-II, serving in the US Coast Guard. Mr. kubicki was a very accomplished person.

Survivors include his Beloved wife of 63 years, Betty Jean Kubicki of Port Charlotte, Florida; his daughter, Denese Lars Andersen of San Juan Capistrano. His nephew Clyde Judy Sturgess of Savanna, Georgia, his nephew and niece, Roy and Joyce Skoog of Hinsdale, Illinois and Robert and Lois Patnode of Morris, Illinois and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel.
