Terry L. Rittinger, 59, of Port Charlotte, Florida died November 25, 2006 in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born July 17, 1947 in Dayton, Kentucky to Edward and Virginia Wright Rittinger.
He moved to the Englewood area in 1999 from Cold Spring, Kentucky. He retired from Cincinnati Bell Telephone and he was a Corrections Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections.
He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War; a member of the Fellowship Church of Englewood; V.F.W. Post #3205 in Kentucky; the Telephone Pioneers of Cincinnati Bell; the P.A.D.I. Professional Association of Diving Instructors. He was an avid Diver and a Dive Master.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carol J. Rittinger of Port Charlotte; four sons, Ted and Craig both of Alexandria, Kentucky, Kyle and Royce both of Port Charlotte, Florida and four daughters, Angie Lyle of Florence, Kentucky, Amber Gilkey of Louisville, Kentucky, Cherise Robinson of Highland Heights, Kentucky and Erin Arnold of Marietta, Georgia and his mother, Virginia Rittinger of Englewood, Florida. Two brothers, David of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, Danny of Melbourne, Kentucky; two sisters, Connie ONan and Cathy Sudkamp both of Lexington, Kentucky and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday November 30, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel with Military Honors to follow. Lemon Bay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
