Thomas Carey, 69, of Punta Gorda, FL died May 16, 2007. He was born March 27, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI and moved to this area from there in 1960. He served for four years in the US Air Force. He was semi retired after working as a Contractor in Construction Industry and in helicopter repair. Tom was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the American Legion Post 103.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bonnie Carey; children, Colleen Scott Groton, Tommy Jacki Carey, Randy Carey, Dana Noah Roth, Diane Roger Lowe, Debbie Daniel Walker and Lisa Boggess; sisters, Peggy Piquette and Kathy Paul McCloud; brother, Richard Pat Carey; 20 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 4 on the way. Tom was the pillar and rock of our family and gave of himself lovingly and unselfishly to us all. He will be greatly missed.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 am till 12 noon, Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda. The funeral service with Masonic Rites will follow at 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Indian Springs Cemetery.
