His Port Charlotte, FL home became a sanctuary, a place of solace and courage, where his wife and children gathered to support him until the end.

Born on October 11, 1951, in Boone, Iowa, Tom, lived a life defined by his unyielding dedication to his principles and his passion for craftsmanship. His expertise in construction paved the way for his incredible success as the founder of Crow Wing Construction Management, a general contracting business in Northern Minnesota. The prosperity of his company was a testament to his unwavering commitment and skill, leaving an indelible mark on the local community.

Tom was more than just a successful businessman. He was a fearless advocate for democracy and social justice, never hesitating to raise his voice and fight for what he believed in. His courage and conviction inspired those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the lives he touched.

In his retirement years, Tom found solace and happiness in the loving embrace of his cherished wife, Vicky. Together, they reveled in the serenity and fulfillment that Florida life offered, cherishing every moment and reaping the rewards of their hard work and dedication.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted spouse of 46 years, Vicky Miller, and their children: Curt (Tina) Miller, Sara (Jesse) Curtis, and Justin (Sara) Miller. Tom’s love and guidance also live on through his siblings: Connie (Ken) Stark, Steven (Sheila) Miller, and Suzan Stecklein. We hold dear the memories we shared with him and the values he instilled in us, treasures that will forever remain a part of our lives.
