Tommy Ingle, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, in Port Charlotte, FL, at the age of 76. Born on February 25, 1948, in Lima, OH, Tommy grew up to be a man of exceptional character, embodying kindness, courage, and a gentle spirit throughout his life.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Tommy served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His dedication to service continued long after his military career, as he became an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he found camaraderie and purpose in supporting fellow veterans.
Tommy's passion for life was evident in his many interests. He had a talent for working on cars, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction. His love for the Moose Lodge was well-known, as it was a place where he spent many happy hours among friends. In his younger years, Tommy found serenity in fishing, a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and the tranquil waters he so loved.
One of Tommy's most admirable qualities was his commitment to giving back to the community. He was a big advocate of the Toys for Tots program, ensuring that every Christmas, children in need would experience the joy of the holiday season. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love and kindness.
He is survived by his sons, Ryan (Lauren) Ingle and Josh (Roxanna) Ingle, and their mother, Michelle Ingle. His grandchildren, Austin, Stephen, Spencer, and Brennen, will forever cherish the memories and lessons he imparted.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Connie Ingle, and his brothers, David, Larry, and Randy. Tommy's memory will be held in the hearts of all who knew him, as a beacon of the warmth and light he brought into the world.
His urn will be interred at Sarasota National Cemetery.
