Walter L. Demarest, 76, of Englewood, Florida, died March 18, 2007. He was born on October 30, 1930 in Schenectady, New York to Halbert and Marguerite Brown Demarest.
He moved to the Englewood area in 1968 from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. He was a retired Electrician and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, an active member of the Knights Trail Gun Range and the National Rifle Association N.R.A..
He is survived by his son Gary W. Demarest of Venice, Florida, his daughter Donna Demarest John of Port Charlotte, Florida, his brother Halbert Demarest of Orange City, Florida, his granddaughter Deirdre Francoletti Rory and his great grandson Ryland Moser.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel.
