

William (Bill) Broadwater, 82 of Port Charlotte, passed away Dec. 13, 2011, at Peace River Hospital. Born August 17, 1929, in Plainfield, , to Cora Brennaman and Everett Broadwater, Sr. He graduated from Roscoe High School in 1947. He worked for Kroger's Supermarkets till 1967, when he moved his family to Florida. He was employed at Publix Supermarket in Punta Gorda, for 23 years, retiring as meat department manager, in 1993. He is survived by his Wife of 63 years, Helen, his 3 daughters, Diana Ball, Coolidge, Arizona, Debra Wood, Tustin, Michigan, and Dee Vanskiver, of Port Charlotte, his brother, Everett Broadwater, Paris, Ohio, his 2 sisters, Glenna Parks and Thelma Wheeler, of Coshocton, Ohio, 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Great-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert Broadwater, his son, Michael A. Broadwater, and his Grandson, Michael T. Broadwater. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, especially, his best friend, Junior Burris, and his wife, Jean. The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:30, Monday, Dec. 26, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte. No funeral service will be held.
