

William A. Fellows, 74, of Rotonda West, FL, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was born on April 3, 1941 in Jamestown, NY. William began his career in the Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, where he learned early computer programming which he parlayed into a career upon returning to Jamestown, NY. He created the data processing departments for Ethan Allen and later for Vac Air, retiring as a trader of specialty alloys. He also taught early mainframe computer programming languages at the local community college. He resided in Bemus Point, NY for 44 years where he was an avid fisherman and hunter like his father, William A Fellows, Sr. He has lived in the Englewood area for 17 years. William was a member of the Gulf Cove Moose where he spearheaded a mixed golf league 7 years ago. The league has grown into a group of dear friends that extended well beyond the golf course. He was also a member of Rotonda VFW, Rotonda Elks, AMVETS Post 312, and the Ingjald Lodge No. 65 Independent Order of Vikings and War Vets in Jamestown, NY. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shelia; sons, Jeffery of Chautauqua, NY, Scott (Craig) of New Canaan, CT, Shawn (Aimee) of Ocean Springs, MS; brother Richard (Robert) of Dunkirk, NY; grandsons, Benjamin, Zachary, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (nee Rosengren) Fellows. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with a social hour before the service starting at 1:00 P.M. at their home.
