William (Bill) C. Krause, Jr., 85 of Port Charlotte passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Bill served in the United States Army Infantry during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, Normandy. Bill was injured in St. Lo France on July 30, 1944 and was in the Army hospital for almost two years recovering from his wounds. He later graduated from Detroit College of Applied Science. He perfected his trade as a Draftsman. Bill is survived by his adoring wife of 61 years Hazel "Jo" Krause, his four loving children Susan (Orval) McAlister of Whitelake, MI, Debra (John) Rederstorf of Otterlake, MI, Randy (Rena) Krause of Beaufort, SC and his pride and joy Cynthia Jo Krause. Bill also has a brother Donald Krause of Michigan and 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his family was the most important thing is his life. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral Arrangements including cremation were handled by Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel.
