
William A. Shute, 88, of Venice, FL passed away August 15, 2016 after a brave 20 year battle with Melanoma Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born July 10, 1928 in Detroit, MI and was a graduate of McKenzie High School in Detroit. Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War, Sgt First Class-Signal Corp, after his military service he went on to graduate from Wayne State University. He retired as a Quality Control Manager for Ford Motors, Dearborn, MI after 31 years, and during that time, he worked three years in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which was a wonderful experience for his family. Upon, retirement, in 1988, he moved to this area from Farmington Hills, MI. He was a former board member for the YMCA in Lavonia, MI and locally, was an active member of the Venice Presbyterian Church. He was a world traveler, enjoying each experience to the fullest. He loved to play handball, racquet ball, golf and tennis.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Shute; children, Cindy (Doug) Stamper, Nancy Kloiber, Daniel Shute, Dean Pinzino and Scott Pinzino; grandchildren, Dale, Cameron, Michael, Thomas, Allison, Stefanie, Devin and Zoe; great grandchildren, Dane, James and Owen; sister, Frances Shaner and his faithful canine companion, Kenzie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Venice Presbyterian Church, 111 Firenze Ave E, Venice, FL 34285. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
