
She was born on December 13, 1927 to Emerine Victoria Gordon and
Tarsus Wright in St. Elizabeth Jamaica, West Indies .
Windith married Percival George Campbell in 1952 and remained in
Kingston, where all their children were born and raised. Windith was
a homemaker, loving mother and self taught seamstress . Apart from
her hobby of meticulously growing and caring for plants, she also
collected unique household items.
Windith came to the United States with their father in the mid sixties,
she then made it possible for five of her six children to come to the United
States with their father and reside in Brooklyn, New York. She relocated
to Port Charlotte, Florida in the summer of 1985. She was a very special
lady who lived the word of God.
She is survived by her children, Elaine ReidGeorge, Glenroy Campbell
Patricia, Winston Campbell Pam, Joy Campbell-Augustus, and Colin
Campbell Freda, twenty two grandchildren and twenty four great-grand
children and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her
mother, Emirene Gordon, her ex husband, Percival George Campbell , her
sister, Esther Deer and her son , Dennis Campbell.
Visitation Friday, May 14, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. Until 11:00 A.M. at El Bethel
Apostolic Tabernacle, 4814 S. Chamberlain Blvd., North Port, Florida. Services
will be at 11:00 A.M., Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens Cemetery
