July 13, 1924 to November 17, 2025.
On November 17th at approximately 2:00 am, the world lost one of its most feisty characters and we lost our mom. She was an aunt, grandma, friend, and so much more. She had a short stay at Royal Columbian Hospital where she received outstanding care in both emergency, and on 6 south. When it became apparent that she would not be able to carry on with her life, she was transferred to McKenney Creek Hospice where she once again was cared for with love and tenderness. She was never alone and always had a family member by her side. When she realized she was ready to make her journey away from earth, she decided to close her eyes and drift off however; a few minutes later she opened her eyes and let us know “it didn’t work.” Thanks for the laugh mom.
Anne is survived by her four daughters Bonnie (Wes), Eileen (Del), Lorene (Bill), Kellie (Steve), many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, along with numerous friends. Predeceased by her husband Jim, her sisters Armida (George) and Nellie (Fred), brother-in-law Joe, and sister-in-law Mon.
She was a founding member of the St Peter’s Young at Heart group and was also an active member of Century House, where she was on the bursary committee.
She will be missed by many.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, November 29th at St. Peter’s Church, 330 Royal Ave., New Westminster, BC V3L 1H8 at 10:00 AM with reception to follow.
