Brenainn Niall Hennessey passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Port Moody, BC at the age of 54. He was born on January 8, 1966 in Virden, Manitoba. Brenainn is survived by his widow, Mélanie Hennessey, son Kieran and daughter Alea, brothers Sean (Cherie & niece Caitlyn) and Conan Hennessey, sister Airdre Kawasaki (Peter), brother-in-law Daniel Pilon (Geneviève, nephew Antoine & niece Myriam), father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michel and Diane Pilon. He was predeceased by his parents, Dennis and Marie Thérèse Hennessey of Virden, Manitoba. Sadly, Brenainn’s struggle and pain overwhelmed him and he chose to end his life too soon. Our hearts are broken. We cherish all the wonderful memories of him and gatherings shared over the years with family and dear friends which brought him much happiness. Brenainn was devoted to his family, loved his children and was fully dedicated to all their activities rain or shine. He was an avid car enthusiast, a passion that is shared with his son Kieran. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish (2888 Delahaye Drive, Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada), commencing with a viewing at 11:00am, followed by mass at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Coast Mental Health or the BC Cancer Foundation. https://www.coastmentalhealth.com/ https://bccancerfoundation.com/

Our family very much enjoyed a Spring Break vacation in Kuaui with the Hennessey family. We got to know Brenainn during this time, and his calm and cheerful personality. His love for his family was evident, and our hearts are in sympathy for Melanie, Kieran, and Alea.

In coming to know Brenainn, I was privileged to meet an exceptionally warm and caring soul, Although he carried a heavy burden, he did so without complaint or an unkind word. His profound love for his family shaped his life and the purity of that love is not diminished by his passing. My deep sympathies go out to all of Brenainn's loved ones. He will always be with you.

So very sad to have lost a dear old friend. We will always have a treasure trove of memories of shared adventures in Virden, Cherry Point, Winnipeg and all points in between. Always a warm smile, never a harsh judgment, a kind soul. You will be missed our friend.
Our deepest condolences are extended to your loving family who you have left behind...for now. We are thinking of you in the hard days to come.
All our best,
Michael and Michelle, Pincher Creek

I knew Brenainn from being soccer parents. Both of our sons were on the same team. I remember him as always smiling and laughing. It struck me what a wonderful and devoted father he was. I admired him for that. I would like to send my condolences to Brenainn’s family. So sorry for your great and deep loss. Brenainn was a wonderful man.
