We are heartbroken to announce the loss of our dad Ted Oliver who passed away peacefully after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kimberley Lauridsen (Torben), and Heidi McKave (Todd). Dad was a proud “GT” to Kylie and Cassidy Lauridsen and Brooklyn and Trey McKave.
Dad grew up in Port Coquitlam on the Oliver Hatchery. His family spent summers at their cabin on Pitt Lake where he enjoyed water skiing and fishing. Dad worked for Imperial Oil at the Ioco Refinery for 35 years. After retirement he enjoyed many sports including hockey, golf and ball.
The family will be celebrating Ted’s life on Saturday, March 9th at Meadow Gardens Golf Club from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation would be greatly appreciated (link below).
