Heather Gayle Louise Langis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Heather, on December 29, 2021, after a three-year battle with breast cancer.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Leo and her devoted daughter Lana; fur babies Buddy and Jackson; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Heather was a devoted and loyal wife and mother. She was an outstanding cook and many people over the years had enjoyed her hospitality at the numerous get togethers she hosted. She loved all animals and when they met her, they loved her right back! She loved her job as a realtor and met numerous people she considered friends through this work. During this last summer, she enjoyed just sitting in the sunshine, reading her books, planting flowers and watching the hummingbirds and blue jays. There was no better sound than her huge laugh! Her loss is enormous and we will miss her forever.

Heather was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Charles Pigeon; older sisters Carol Eugster of Switzerland and Charlene Obuck; and her treasured nephew Jason Obuck.

At Heather’s request no funeral service will be held. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BCSPCA or to the Marine Mammal Rescue at the Vancouver Aquarium.
