Wow this has truly been one of the hardest things for me, Mark was like a brother to me for 27 years .
He was an amazing person and he will truly be missed by so many..

Mark you are  so missed at work ! Work is not the same without you  there. 
You made me laugh with all your silly jokes , and always wanting me to get you coffee make you chocolate chip cookies, and always telling me every morning the count down to when your holidays start.

We are greatly saddened upon hearing Mark's sudden passing. He has been our greatest neighbour and friend for 11 years. Mark was always helpful, caring,  kind and genuine. We are so sorry to lose a good friend and a wonderful person. Our condolences to his family who are also lovely people. Mark will be greatly missed.

I was deeply sadden to hear the loss of my good friend. I first met Mark back in grade 8 where we shared a passion for woodworking in shop class and we became instant friends. That friendship carried through into our early 20's and beyond with numerous trips to Osprey Lake, riding the trails and having some laughs around the campfire.  Mark was a beauty! So genuine and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Always there to give you a helping hand. Still finding it hard to believe you are no longer with us and your number won't flash up on my phone. Gone too soon my friend and thanks for the memories!

for many, many years mark was the voice i heard on the other end of the line when i would call and make orders. his dry wit and way of speaking always made me happy i had gotten him on the phone. i was shocked to hear of his passing and will miss that voice though i seem to keep hearing it my head and i hope that continues.

Mark and I shared an incredible friendship that spanned nearly 50 years, starting from when we were just 10 years old. We never missed our weekend chats, filled with fond memories of our happy childhood. Through all the trials of adulthood, Mark was always there for me, like a brother. We were both looking forward to my move back to BC.
His unwavering support and kindness will forever be cherished in my heart.

As an Outside/ Inside Sales Team I worked with Mark for 20 Years. Marks Contributions to the Sales Team was Invaluable. Mark will be remembered for his Kindness,Dry Humour, and Dedication to the Sales Team . Marks Presence made the Workplace Brighter and he will be greatly missed.

On a lighter side I remember Mark showing me Photos of his cottage with all the renovations he had made Mark was so Proud in what he had Accomplished. That was Marks Happy Place…

The news of Mark's passing was really tough. I've known Mark for over 30 years as a supplier and friend. I could always expect some good natured ribbing from him every time I visited the Polymershapes branch. And I always knew it was because he considered me a friend and, well,  that was just Mark. He was loyal and great to work with and I will miss him. I have been praying for his soul and for peace and comfort for his friends and family in this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

They really did break the mould when they made Mark. We had such funny banter about the Irish vs. Swedish each morning when we got to the office. He was always in the office first thing to have that early morning conversation with his Dad - each and every day @ 7:15am, he'd dial that #, connect with his Dad, making sure everything was good. He talked about his cottage like others would talk about their children. He took a tremendous amount of pride in the cottage and wanted it just right for himself, visitors and his neighbours around the lake. He'd always come back to the office after a vacation at the lake and show off all the home improvements made. Mark, you'll be missed my friend, my condolences to the family. RIP Nilson

It was devastating to hear about Mark‘s passing. I will never forget how Mark always knew how to make people laugh. Even in bad days. wishing you peace and strength in the days ahead.

I was so shocked to hear of Mark’s passing.
Mark was more than just an employee he was also a friend.
He was always the first person to report to work every morning…Don't think I ever was able to get in before him!

I had the pleasure of working with Mark for probably about 20+ years and I have to say that Mark was probably my best customer ever! He never gave me a hard time, even if I had to call him with "not so good news" about one of his orders.  He most definitely always brightened my day.  He would also call me probably 20 times a day and sometimes the call was just to say "Just want to make sure you're at work today." I will miss and have already missed his daily calls this week. My heart is broken.  Condolences to his family.

Mark was as genuine as his jokes were corny. 
My 6 years working with Mark were a pleasure,  I always looked forward to speaking with Mark everyday if he didn't call first, often for no reason than to "check if I was awake". 
More than a colleague, Mark opened his home to us and we  have lost a good friend. 
Mark is truly missed and my deepest condolences to his family.

I worked with Mark for 20 plus years.  We were co-workers but I always  thought of him as a friend and a brother first.  I will miss his 10 plus calls a day while on the road.  He would always call before work even started “ Are you out of bed yet” or “ , “ go get me a coffee” I could go on and on.  I would have to admit at times it was almost annoying.  Man, I would do anything to get another on of those calls.  I will miss my friend Mark !!

Sad news,got to know Mark over the past 28 yrs or so.He would always ask me to bring doughnuts or lunch...He was always full of life and a great guy to deal with. Condolences to the family.

You will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Deeply saddened to hear of Mark passing.   He will always be remembered for his relentless pursuit of perfection and keen sense of humour.   I will never forget the pictures he shared of the cottage and the joy he experienced whilst there.  He is a valued member of the team and will be greatly missed.  My heartfelt condolences go out to all his friends, family, co-workers and loved ones.

I've known Mark for over 20 years. He was a great person and better friend. We had great times together whether at his place or at his cabin. He will be missed, my sincere condolences to his family.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Mark's passing.  

Having worked with Mark for so many years throughout his career, he was truly an incredibly loyal and committed person.  It was a true challenge to make it in to work ahead of Mark.  Although a tireless worker, he also knew how to enjoy himself by cherishing his vacation time and relaxing at his cottage.   

You could also always count on Mark to use his sense of humour in taking a look at things from a lighter side.

I will always have the fondest memories of Mark. He was a good soul who was very caring.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of a long time co-worker and friend Mark Nilson. Mark was always a pleasure to deal with at work and I also enjoyed meeting with him during my visits to Vancouver over the years. Mark was a dedicated contributor to the success of the Polymershapes family and will be missed by all, especially those closest to him in Coquitlam. My prayers for Mark’s family and friends.
