It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Grandpa, Great-Papa, brother and uncle, Mike Lehun. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, resourcefulness and adventure.
Dad was born and raised on his family farm in Hotchkiss, Alberta and moved to Vancouver, BC in his teens. Upon arriving in Vancouver, he secured a job at Pacific Grain Elevators on the Vancouver waterfront, bought a 5-acre hobby farm in Port Coquitlam and raised a family. Dad proudly worked for Pacific Elevators for the next 42 years before retiring as "number one on the clock".
He often shared stories of his life growing up in Hotchkiss and made a point to travel back to his homestead, every year, to be where he loved and to help his family with the farm in any way that he could.
Dad generously opened his door to everyone and his life was filled with family, friends, fun gatherings, motor home adventures and farming. He made a great life for himself, and for us, and we are so proud of his accomplishments, and eternally grateful for his love.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dad's memory to PARKINSON CANADA or a charity of your choice.
