

Nobody can ever deny that Philomena “Phil” Patricia Thomas was one of a kind. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and her most favorite role, grandma. She truly embodied what it meant to care for others, to be selfless, and be there when it really mattered.
Phil passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 10th 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Phil bravely battled Cancer over the past 6 months.
Phil was predeceased by her father Ronald, her mother Pamela, her brother David, her father-in-law David, her step-mother-in-law May, her brother-in-law JB, and her grand-daughter Aubrey.
She leaves behind her husband Mike; children Shea (Dave) and Matthew; grandson Logan; siblings Llewlyn (Linda), Colleen (Andrew), Sean (Des), Clair (Hilton); in-laws Sandy (Les), Daryl (Wendy), Bea, Sandy; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all that knew her. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a Celebration of Life will be held on October 10th, 2025 at Burkeview Memorial.
