She is survived by, and will be greatly missed by her daughters; Barbara Stewart and Catherine Ackerman (Darryl). She is also survived by and adored by her grandchildren; Robert, Paige and Cole.
Sue lived a full life with strength and a great sense of humour. She was born and raised in Ottawa and spent her summers making cherished memories at the family cabin in Northern Ontario with her parents and dog. After being educated as a lab technician, she ventured out to the Westcoast of beautiful British Columbia to begin her career. She travelled and worked throughout BC and Washington State. It was in Trail, BC where she met her future husband, Ross. They moved to Edmonton, where they were married in 1957 and started their family.
Being called back to the Westcoast, they moved to BC in 1967 where they settled in Coquitlam. There they raised their daughters and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Summers in Penticton with family brought fond memories to all. Sue continued to enjoy her career and worked at the BC Cancer Agency and the Provincial lab, where she retired in 1998. She was active in her church, loved to garden, golf and was an avid walker up until the last six months of her life. Her love of travel took her throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
She was a loving mom, energetic, doting and very proud grandmother whose spirit and energy will very much be missed.
