With heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) Wayne Mitchell at home, on March 31, 2023. He was 73 years young. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Maureen and leaves behind his beloved second wife Andrea Guiler-Mitchell.
Bill will be missed by his children Philip, Robert (Jennifer), Patrick and Chris (Kristyl) and his step-son Sean (Barbara)
Bill was a proud grandfather to Sandra Lee (Chris), Levi, James, Jesse (Kalyn), Riley and Alex his step-grandsons Alex (Inhee) and Nick as well as great grandfather to Finnick, Bennett and Hugo.
He will also be sadly missed by his 5 siblings, Jim (Linda). Sharon, Bob, Charlene (Andy) and Roger (Nancy).
Bill loved all kinds of sports, especially slo-pitch which he did for many, many decades, and he gave the love of baseball to his son, Robert, and his grandson Levi. He looked forward to spending two weeks in St. George, Utah every fall for the Huntsman World Senior Games. He and Andrea were blessed to be able to go last year for the first time in three years due to the pandemic, and he was able to catch up with many of his long-time friends from all over Canada and the USA.
When Bill met Andrea, they embarked on a life of travelling and travelled extensively for their years together to many countries and continents with plans to continue their adventures to the South Pacific, Australia and Japan, just to name a few.
Bill lived a full life with many friends from all over the world. Bill’s passing leaves a great void for all who knew him.
