As a young man, Adam worked with his father and grandfather at the family business in Philadelphia, “Adam App and Son’s Ice and Coal”, where he made ice deliveries via the old horse and carriage wagon. He secured employment with Domino Sugar on the Philadelphia waterfront, later becoming a foreman. Following retirement he moved to Pot-Nets, DE, where he and his wife Theresa enjoyed cruising on the local Indian River on their pontoon boat, dropping their crab traps (preparing some tasty dishes for their family and friends), and taking long walks around the complex. In 1989 they moved to Fort Myers, FL, spending a year there before building their retirement home in Port Orange, Florida, enjoying parties, local senior center events, cruises, and spending time with family and friends.
Adam married Violet McHale in 2004 and lived in Port Orange, FL, where they enjoyed traveling, cruising, trips around the world, and spending time with family. They relocated to Violet’s hometown of Binghamton, NY, in 2020.
