Almira R. "Molly" Cornell, a beloved resident of Port Crane, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on November 19, 1926, in Jermyn, Pennsylvania, Almira lived a long and fulfilling life.
Almira retired in 1988 from Endicott Johnson after a dedicated 44 years of service. She was known for her love of watching birds and ensuring they were well-fed, as well as her passion for flowers and bingo. Almira took great pride in caring for her home and family, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
She was predeceased by her first husband, John Middleton, her second husband, Willard Cornell, son John Middleton, grandson Eric Middleton, great-granddaughter Camryn Davies, four sisters and three brothers, and her son-in-law Jack G. Hiller.
Almira is survived by her daughters, Judith P. Hiller of Port Crane, NY and Cindy Williams (Russell Galloway) of Harpursville, NY, as well as ten grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends at Elizabeth Church Manor. Her grandchildren always enjoyed listening to her stories of the past, cherishing the memories she shared.
A private graveside service will be held at the Port Crane Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Almira's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
