Anthony P. Marano

Anthony P. (Doc) Marano, 88, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the NY State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Mary Marano; sisters, Teresa Mazzei and Patricia Polzo. He is survived by his sister, Minnie Romano, Windsor; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Audrey Marano, Binghamton; nieces and nephews, Lucille and Jack Polak, Binghamton; MaryAnn and Richard Schaeffer, Scotia, NY; Nancy and John Boushie, Windsor; Frances and Joe Mastronardi, Binghamton; Patricia and Dave Vargulic, Virginia; nephews, Anthony Mazzei, New York City; Sam Mazzei Atlantic City, NY; Donald Polzo, Summit, NJ; special family friend, Lena Leone, Binghamton. Tony was an Army veteran of WW II serving as a medic in New Guinea and a graduate of Syracuse University. He was a retired employee of the NY State Office of Employment. And he loved to dance.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 9:30 AM April 27, 2013. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.Arrangements are by the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY.
