Audrey M. France

Audrey M. France, 72, went to be with her husband, William on Tuesday, November 23, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest S. and Dorothy M. Youngs; and her brother, Dean Youngs. She is survived by her sons, Jeffery France and Perpetua Megwa; and Kevin and Tammy France; several grandchildren including those most dear to her, Shannon and Evan Buschbacher; Melanie and Joseph Garite; Stephen O’Neil; and Matthew France; her great grandson, Logan Garite; her special friends, Katie Newcomb and Fred Akshar, as well as other helpful neighbors and friends from the Iroquois Car Club, the Cruisin’ Buddies Car Club, the Office of Emergency Services and all of the other agencies she was involved with. Audrey was a thoughtful and friendly person who enjoyed cooking for people. She was often called “mom” by her friends and her persuasive powers were legendary. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 1, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson with Rev. Daniel Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery.
