Betty G. Shaver

Betty Georgene (Stewart) Shaver of Binghamton & Bradenton, Fl went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 29, 2013 after a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph & Freda Stewart; an older brother Gilbert Stewart; younger sister Judy Deluca and middle son Donald Ray Shaver. She is survived by her Husband of 58 years, Carl Shaver; Son Edward Shaver & Mary Williams; Daughter & son-in-law Carla & Randy Ganoung; Son Gary Shaver & Sue Strok; Daughter Susan Foster. Ten grandchildren Stephanie Shaver, Brian Shaver, Amanda Shaver and their mother Susan Buchter; Christa & Charles Kark III and Randy James Ganoung; Emily Shaver, Jonathan Shaver and their mother Jackie Keeville Shaver; Rebecca Foster, Derek Foster, Brandalyn Foster and their father David Foster. Two Great-Grandchildren Devan Ganoung & Trinity Mastronardi; Brothers Gary & Jean Stewart, Darrell & Vickie Stewart; and a very special friend Bea Chichester Boyd. Bea has been like a mother to Betty since the early 60's when she worked as a waitress at the Wigwam Restaurant, Greene, NY. Betty was gifted with a love for music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was a very active sales person enjoying a number of employments throughout her years. She was active in Christian ministries including Chairman of Binghamton Christian Business Woman, Secretary Board of Directors for Greene Family Crisis Center and conducted a home Bible study for woman. She owned her own business Excelle Ceramics and was a Duncan certified teacher. Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church, 1606 State Route 12, Binghamton, NY on Friday, November 1st from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday November 2nd from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service with Rev.
